Israeli warplanes launched "successive airstrikes" against towns in southern Lebanon, according to Lebanon's state news agency NNA on Tuesday. A motorcycle was also targeted with a drone on a coastal road and the town of Bayut al-Sayyad in Lebanon's Tyre district came under artillery fire from Israeli troops, NNA reported.

The attacks came after Israel's military issued evacuation warnings to residents of villages and towns across southern Lebanon on Tuesday in response to a Hezbollah drone attack the day before that left two of its soldiers injured, one severely. Israel, accused the Iran-backed militant group-with which it has exchanged fire in recent days-of violating "cease-fire understandings."
