Health care stocks were lower late Friday afternoon, with the NYSE Health Care Index down 1.1% and the State Street Health Care Select Sector SPDR ETF (XLV) shedding 1.4%.
The iShares Biotechnology ETF (IBB) fell 1%.
In corporate news, Sanofi (SNY) priced a 2.3 billion euro ($2.7 billion) offering of notes under its Euro Medium Term Note program. Its shares were down 1%.
