China Eastern Airlines (SHA:600115, HKG:0670) posted first-quarter attributable net profit of 1.63 billion yuan, reversing a loss of 995 million yuan the previous year.
Earnings per share stood at 0.07 yuan, swinging from a year-ago loss of 0.04 yuan last year, according to a Thursday filing with the Shanghai bourse.
The carrier's operating revenue climbed 11% year over year to 37.1 billion yuan from 33.4 billion yuan.
Shares of the company fell nearly 2% in recent trade.
