Dongfang Electric's (HKG:1072, SHA:600875) first-quarter 2026 attributable profit jumped 37% to 1.59 billion yuan from 1.15 billion yuan a year earlier, according to a Hong Kong bourse filing Wednesday.
The Chinese power generation firm's Hong Kong shares fell nearly 2% in afternoon trade Thursday.
Earnings per share were 0.46 yuan, compared with 0.37 yuan in the prior year period.
Total operating income rose 5.6% year on year to 17.47 billion yuan, figures showed.
