China Overseas Land Shares Rise as 2Q Sales Expected to Be Strong -- Market Talk

0817 GMT - Shares of China Overseas Land & Investment notched its largest one-day percentage gain since October 2024, closing 8.9% higher at HK$13.35. Citi analyst Griffin Chan expects China Overseas Land to post strong 2Q sales, continuing growth from 1Q. Its robust balance sheet should also support building sizable integrated projects in core cities, he says in a note, adding that the Chinese property company is the sector leader in land acquisitions. Citi opens a 30-day upside catalyst watch on China Overseas Land & Investment, retaining its buy rating and target price of HK$14.20.(megan.cheah@wsj.com)
