Shares of Silicom gained after the technology company narrowed its first-quarter loss and reported higher sales.
The stock rose 32%, to $37.13, midday Thursday, after hitting a 52-week high of $38.79 earlier in the session. Shares have climbed about 150% this year.
The company on Thursday reported a loss of $2.4 million, or 41 cents a share, compared with a loss of $2.8 million, or 49 cents a share, a year earlier.
Stripping out certain one-time items, the company reported an adjusted loss of 25 cents a share.
Sales rose to $19.1 million, up from $14.4 million a year prior.
For the current second quarter, the company is expecting revenue between $20 million and $21 million.
