Mineral Resources Signs Investment, Shareholders Deals With South Korea's Posco Holdings for Lithium JV

MT Newswires Live05-01 07:42

Mineral Resources (ASX:MIN) signed investment and shareholders agreements with South Korea's Posco Holdings, enabling Posco to take a 30% stake in a newly incorporated joint venture (JV), LithCo, according to a Friday filing with the Australian bourse.

LithCo will hold Mineral Resources' existing 50% interests in the Wodgina and Mt Marion lithium mines, both located in Western Australia, per the filing.

The transaction remains subject to final long-form agreements, offtake and marketing arrangements, and regulatory approvals, including foreign investment review board and merger clearances, the filing said.

Completion is now anticipated in the first half of 2027, taking into account the approval timelines and the necessary corporate restructuring to form the joint venture, the filing added.
