Earnings season isn't over yet, with another slew of major U.S. firms set to release quarterly results in the coming week. We'll also get some updates on the labor market and business activity.
Monday's earnings slate is headlined by Palantir Technologies, Pinterest, and ON Semiconductor. Advanced Micro Devices, Shopify, Pfizer, and PayPal will report on Tuesday. Walt Disney, Arm Holdings, DoorDash, Uber Technologies, and Novo Nordisk will follow on Wednesday. Thursday's lineup includes McDonald's and Airbnb, and Wendy's and Brookfield Asset Management will wrap things up on Friday.
On the economic front, Wall Street will be closely watching the April jobs report from the Bureau of Labor Statistics, due on Friday.
Other noteworthy releases will include the Institute for Supply Management's Services Purchasing Managers Index for April and the BLS' Job Openings and Labor Turnover Survey, both on Tuesday. On Friday, the University of Michigan will release its preliminary consumer sentiment index for May.

The Institute for Supply Management releases its Services Purchasing Managers' Index for April. Consensus estimate is for a 54 reading, unchanged from March.
The Bureau of Labor Statistics releases the Job Openings and Labor Turnover Survey for March. Expectations are for 6.6 million job openings on the last business day of March, down from nearly 6.9 million in February.
Wednesday, May 6
Walt Disney, Arm Holdings, DoorDash, Novo Nordisk, Uber Technologies, AppLovin, CVS Health, Marriott International, Apollo Global Management, Maplebear, and Global Payments are expected to release quarterly earnings. ADP releases its National Employment Report for April. Economists expect private payrolls rose to 95,000 from 62,000 in March.
Thursday, May 7
McDonald's, Airbnb, Datadog, Texas Roadhouse, Planet Fitness, The RealReal, and TripAdvisor release results.
Friday, May 8
Brookfield Asset Management, Wendy's, Enbridge, PPL, and Fidelity National Information Services report quarterly results.
The BLS will release the nonfarm payrolls report for April. The consensus among economists polled by FactSet is that the U.S. economy added 50,000 nonfarm jobs in April, down from 178,000 in March. Economists expect that the unemployment rate held steady at 4.3%.
The University of Michigan releases its preliminary consumer sentiment index for May. Economists forecast a 51 reading, up from 49.8 in April.
