SD Guthrie Likely to Post Stronger 2Q Earnings -- Market Talk
Dow Jones12:29
0429 GMT - SD Guthrie is likely to post stronger 2Q earnings, on quarter, driven by an increase in fresh fruit bunch production and higher crude palm oil prices, CIMB Securities analyst Ivy Ng Lee Fang says in a note. The palm oil company expects production to recover from 2Q, noting that there is already strong on month improvement in April. Better production and stronger CPO prices would partly offset increased fertilizer and diesel costs, she says. CIMB raises the stock's target price to 6.47 ringgit from 6.23 ringgit but maintains its hold rating. Shares are 0.8% lower at 6.15 ringgit.(amanda.lee@wsj.com)
