A pump fire that broke out Wednesday at PBF Energy's 157,000 b/d Martinez, Calif., refinery has been extinguished, according to a notice from the Martinez Refining Co.

The facility reported a Level 1 Community Awareness Message to Contra Costa Health for a pump fire, according to the notice.

The refinery's first responders are on the scene and the fire is out, according to the notice.

Flaring occurred at the facility on Sunday, OPIS previously reported.

In a late April earnings call, CEO Matt Lucey said a fluid catalytic cracking unit was expected to begin production in early May, bringing the facility to a full restart following a disruptive fire 14 months ago, OPIS reported.
