0744 GMT - Smith & Nephew's guidance remains vulnerable to downward revisions, RBC Capital Markets analysts say in a note. Although the medical technology company's in-line first-quarter revenue and $500 million buyback will reassure investors, its results aren't seen as derisking guidance at this stage, RBC says. While the company anticipates performance to be heavily weighted toward the second half, current consensus remains more conservative on revenue growth, suggesting its latest results haven't yet justified an upgrade to full-year forecasts, RBC says. "We continue to see potential downside to guidance in future periods," the analysts say. Shares are down 2.5% at 1,131 pence. (anthony.orunagoriainoff@dowjones.com)
