1459 GMT - The Bank of England could increase interest rates by one quarter-point in 2026 if Brent crude price remains around $90 per barrel, Nomura research analysts say in a note. Brent crude rises 1.5% to last trade at $101.55, LSEG data show. Investors expect that high energy prices could result in high U.K. inflation, potentially pushing the BOE to raise interest rates in the coming months. Markets fully price in two quarter-point BOE rate rises by December, LSEG data show. (miriam.mukuru@wsj.com)
