Amazon (AMZN) Web Services, or AWS, reported a Thursday outage at one of its data center zones in northern Virginia, and said mitigation efforts continue as of Friday, according to its website.

The data center saw high temperatures and AWS said Friday that deployment of additional cooling system capacity is "taking longer than expected."

CME Group (CME) and Coinbase (COIN) also flagged issues with their platforms, Reuters reported Thursday, adding that Coinbase attributed its platform issues to the AWS outage.

Coinbase said in a social media post late Friday morning that "all markets have been re-enabled for trading" on its web and app platforms. CME Group did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' requests for comment.
