Algonquin Still Exploring U.S. Redomicile, But CEO Says No Decision Yet -- Market Talk
Dow Jones05-08
1132 ET - Algonquin Power is still weighing whether to shift its corporate home to the U.S. from Canada, but executives say no decision is close. CEO Roderick West tells analysts the idea has become "a common area of inquiry," yet remains only one option under review as the company looks for ways to improve its tax structure. "We continue to explore tax optimization strategies, including a potential redomicile," West says on the analyst call, adding that any move would require board, shareholder and regulatory approval before it could proceed.
