Fresenius Medical Care Investors to Focus U.S. Treatment Volume Decline -- Market Talk
Dow Jones05-05 15:44
0744 GMT - Fresenius Medical Care'sdecline in U.S. comparable treatment volumes for the first quarter is likely to draw investors' attention, Jefferies analysts say in a research note. The German dialysis specialist's first-quarter revenue was broadly as expected, and its adjusted operating profit was also in line with consensus despite savings from the company's transformation program, Jefferies says. Nevertheless, the market's focus might be on a 0.4% decline in U.S. same-market treatment volumes at the group's care-delivery segment, the analysts say. Shares fall 5.4%. (adria.calatayud@wsj.com)
