Market Chatter: Palantir Technologies External Staff Granted Unlimited Access to Identifiable NHS Patient Data

MT Newswires Live05-11 16:43

Palantir Technologies' (PLTR) external staff and other consultants were provided unrestricted entry to identifiable medical records, the Financial Times reported Monday, citing an internal briefing note.

The permissions involve the National Data Integration Tenant within the $410 million Federated Data Platform that the company was hired to construct in 2023, according to the report.

NHS England established administrative roles for private workers to bypass the inconvenience of applying for individual security clearances, The Financial Times reported.

Granting such permissions could potentially undermine public trust in the government's ability to protect sensitive medical information, the news outlet reported, citing internal documents.

Palantir Technologies and NHS England did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' request for comment.
