Healthcare stocks declined Monday afternoon, with the NYSE Healthcare Index fractionally lower and the State Street Healthcare Select Sector SPDR ETF (XLV) down 0.2%.
The iShares Biotechnology ETF (IBB) increased 0.4%.
In corporate news, Sonida Senior Living (SNDA) shares fell 3.3% after it reported Q1 loss Monday of $2.39 per diluted share, wider than a loss of $0.77 a year earlier. Three analysts polled by FactSet expected a loss of $1.53.
