American Public Education Q1 Net Income, Revenue Rise; Q2 Outlook Posted, Annual Guidance Raised

American Public Education (APEI) reported Q1 net income late Monday of $0.94 per diluted share, up from $0.41 a year earlier.

Analysts polled by FactSet expected $0.64 apiece.

Revenue for the quarter ended March 31 was $174.7 million, up from $164.6 million a year earlier, the company stated.

Analysts surveyed by FactSet expected $173.7 million.

The educational firm said it expects Q2 earnings of $0.34 to $0.39 per diluted share. Analysts surveyed by FactSet expect $0.40.

The enterprise expects revenue for the quarter of $170 million to $172 million. Analysts polled by FactSet expect $168.1 million.

For full-year 2026, the firm expects earnings of $2.33 to $2.68 per diluted share compared with the previously anticipated EPS of $2.15 to $2.47. Analysts surveyed by FactSet expect $2.43.

The company anticipates revenue for the year of $686 million to $696 million against the previously anticipated range of $685 million to $695 million. Analysts polled by FactSet expect $690.1 million.
