Greenlane Renewables has signed a manufacturing partnership with Panasonic do Brasil to locally produce its next-generation landfill gas upgrading systems.

Under the terms of the agreement, Greenlane and Panasonic will partner to establish production of Greenlane's Cascade LF and Cascade MS proprietary standard product lines. Greenlane designs and supplies systems to turn biogas from landfills and farms into renewable natural gas.

The Vancouver, British Columbia-based clean-tech company said that it has granted a technology license to Panasonic for manufacturing the products at its facilities in Sao Jose dos Campos in the state of Sao Paulo.

Panasonic will invest in facility modifications, tooling and production equipment, while also providing the necessary working capital and advance payment assurances to meet customer requirements.

The initial investment is expected to be around 2 million Canadian dollars ($1.5 million) to C$3 million.
