U.S. Oil Rig Count Rises By 2 to 410 -- Market Talk

1338 ET - U.S. oil producers show continued reluctance to step up drilling activity even with higher oil prices extending into their third month because of the war with Iran. The number of rigs drilling for oil rose by two this week to 410, oil services company Baker Hughes reports, which is three more than at the end of February and down by 57 from a year ago. Rigs directed at natural gas slipped by one to 129, and were up by 21 from a year ago. (anthony.harrup@wsj.com)
