MT Newswires Live05-12

AeroVironment (AVAV) said Tuesday it has won a three-year, $43 million contract from the Department of War's Test Resource Management Center to integrate its PANTHER antenna system on SkyRange aviation platforms.

The integration of the multi-target tracking technology will improve weapons testing operations and accelerate development timelines, the company said.

The platform-agnostic antenna system provides a mobile, air-based alternative to traditional parabolic dish setups for evaluating long-range missiles, it added.

The company is conducting the integration work in North Dakota and collaborating with Bismarck State College to establish a technician training program, AeroVironment said.

Shares of the company were up about 1% in Tuesday trading.
