Hindustan Copper's Consolidated Profit Jumps in Fiscal Q4; Shares Down 6% After Market

Hindustan Copper (NSE:HINDCOPPER, BOM:513599) posted consolidated attributable profit of 4.44 billion Indian rupees in the fiscal fourth quarter, compared with 1.89 billion rupees a year ago, according to a Friday filing to the Indian stock exchanges.

Shares of the copper manufacturer were down 6% in after-market hours.

Earnings per share in the quarter ended March 31 climbed to 4.59 rupees from 1.94 rupees a year earlier.

Revenue from operations in the quarter ended March increased to 11.56 billion rupees from 7.31 billion rupees a year ago.

The company's board declared a final dividend of 1.86 rupees per share for the fiscal year ended March 31.
