Vessel Is Boarded at Entrance to Strait, Now Bound for Iranian Waters, UKMTO Says -- WSJ

A vessel has been reported taken by "unauthorized personnel" off the coast of the United Arab Emirates, according to U.K. Maritime Trade Operations, which said it was currently bound for Iranian territorial waters.

UKMTO, which is affiliated with the Royal Navy, said it received the incident report from a "company security officer" early Thursday morning and that the vessel had been boarded while at anchor approximately 38 nautical miles northeast of Fujairah in the U.A.E. UKMTO, which advises mariners to report incidents at sea, said it was investigating.
