Boeing stock declined Tuesday after the aerospace manufacturer's monthly deliveries came in a touch light.
Boeing delivered 47 planes and booked 136 gross orders for new aircraft in April. While the April total is well above the eight deliveries in April 2025, investors would have likely preferred to see aircraft deliveries above 50 for the month.
Wall Street expects Boeing to deliver 662 planes in 2026, up from 600 in 2025, according to FactSet. Boeing has to average 59 plane deliveries over the remaining eight months of this year to meet that expectation.
Boeing shares declined 2.2% to $233.06 on Tuesday, on pace to snap a five-day winning streak.
United Airlines and Hong Kong-based CDB Leasing both were delivered six aircraft. Other top customers in April were American Airlines and Ireland-based Avolon Aerospace Leasing Limited.
Out of the 136 new orders, Boeing booked 57 new orders for 737 Max planes and 51 new orders for 787 Dreamliners. The biggest orders were from "unidentified customers." Ethiopian Airlines Group ordered six 787-9 jets while EL AL Israel Airlines ordered one 787-10 and five 787-9 aircraft.
Through April, Boeing has booked 284 orders after cancellations so far this year, the highest order count since 2014, according to the company.
The aerospace manufacturer has delivered 190 planes so far this year, a 9% increase compared with the first four months of 2025, according to company data.
For comparison, Boeing reported 46 deliveries in March, 51 in February, and 46 in January.
On April 22, Boeing reported better-than-expected first-quarter earnings. However, the company is still in turnaround mode.
Boeing stock is up 6.7% so far in 2026 and has gained 14% in the last 12 months. Shares remain 47% below their record close of $440.62 from March 1, 2019, according to Dow Jones Market Data.
