United Spirits (NSE:MCDOWELL-N, BOM:532432) consolidated profit rose to 5.39 billion Indian rupees in the fiscal fourth quarter ended March 31, from 4.21 billion rupees a year ago.
Earnings per share came in at 8.00 rupees from 6.45 rupees a year earlier, the liquor manufacturer said in a filing to the Indian stock exchanges.
Revenue from operations in fiscal Q4 also increased to 68.6 billion rupees from 65.5 billion rupees a year ago.
The company's board recommended a final dividend of 11 rupees per equity share of face value of 2 rupees each for the
financial year ending March 31.
