Cadeler (CDLR) installed the first fully commissioned monopile foundation at Orsted's Hornsea 3 offshore wind farm in the UK, marking a major milestone for the 2.9-gigawatt project, the company said Thursday.
Cadeler said its Wind Ally vessel installed the monopile foundation, while Wind Orca handled secondary steel work for Hornsea 3, which is expected to become the world's largest offshore wind farm, capable of powering more than 3.3 million UK homes.
