LG Electronics' AI, Robotics Push Set to Drive Growth -- Market Talk

Dow Jones05-14

0418 GMT - LG Electronics' aggressive expansion into artificial intelligence and robotics is expected to drive new growth momentum, Hana Securities' Minkyung Kim says. LG's decision to advance the proof-of-concept feasibility test for its "CLOiD" home robot to 1H 2026 from 2027 underscores the company's accelerating push into AI and robotics, the analyst writes in a note. The robot is designed to autonomously handle household chores such as cooking, cleaning and laundry. LG also plans to mass produce actuators for humanoid robots, Kim notes. He is optimistic about the company's surge in contract wins for AI data-center cooling systems and its deepening collaboration with Nvidia on physical AI. (kwanwoo.jun@wsj.com)
