0947 GMT - ITV's delay in reaching a deal with Sky might be reflecting a disagreement about the price, AJ Bell's Dan Coatsworth writes in a note. Last November, the U.K. broadcaster said it was in preliminary discussions with Sky about the possible sale of its media-and-entertainment business. "Those talks are still ongoing, with ITV promising an update soon. While it's impossible to say why talks are dragging on, one can only speculate it is disagreement about price," he says. Comcast's Sky appears in a favorable position to negotiate given the linear TV part of ITV's business is struggling and it won't want to pay a big premium to buy it, he adds. If Sky fails to secure a deal, other potential suitors might include European broadcasters, he says. Shares are up 5.9% at 82.50 pence.(najat.kantouar@wsj.com)
