SP Mobility has officially unveiled the nation's inaugural high-speed charging hub located the Tengah HDB estate. The facility marks a significant step forward in integrating green transportation infrastructure into residential areas.\n\nLocated next to the Plantation Plaza shopping mall between blocks 123 and 129, the station features eight direct current fast chargers capable of delivering up to 100 kilowatts, alongside six alternating current units. SP Mobility, which currently operates the largest public rapid-charging network locally, plans to replicate this model across other neighborhoods. Starting in early 2027, similar hubs will roll out progressively in estates like Bedok North, Tampines, and Woodlands.\nDean Cher, managing director of SP Mobility, emphasised this lifestyle-centric approach: “As EV adoption accelerates, charging infrastructure must be designed around daily living.
