Bitfire (HKG:1611) expects to post a net loss of no more than HK$245 million in the fiscal first half ended March 31, compared with a net loss of HK$12.3 million a year earlier, according to a May 15 Hong Kong bourse filing.
Shares of the technology service provider were down over 3% in Monday's late morning trade.
The expected wider loss was mainly due to a net fair value loss on crypto assets, higher operating and research and development expenses.
