China Eastern Airlines' Passenger Count Slips in April; Shares Fall 3%

China Eastern Airlines' (SHA:600115, HKG:0670) passenger count ticked down 0.9% year on year to 11.9 million in April, according to a weekend filing with the Shanghai bourse.

Shares of the airline were down 3% in Monday's trade.

Passenger capacity climbed 0.8% to 25.4 billion available seat kilometers.

Cargo capacity went up 1.7% to 858.8 million available freight ton-kilometers.

Cargo and mail carried jumped 14% to 97.1 million kilograms.
