Torque Metals Says Western Australia Gold Deposit Drilling Extends High-Grade Mineralization; Shares Fall Past 11%

MT Newswires Live12:55

Torque Metals (ASX:TOR) said ongoing in-fill and extensional drilling at the Paris gold deposit in Western Australia extended high-grade mineralization more than 60 meters beyond previous drilling, according to a Monday Australian bourse filing.

It encountered intercepts of 17.1 meters at 2.8 grams per tonne (g/t) grade of gold from 513 meters down-hole, as well as 5 meters at 4.5 g/t grade of gold from 206 meters.

Extensional drilling targeting down-hole electromagnetic conductors continued to intersect strong mineralization outside the mineral resource estimate envelope, the company said. An interim mineral resource estimate update for the project remains on track for the June quarter.

Torque Metals' shares fell past 11% in recent trading on Monday.
