Bowman Consulting Group (BWMN) said Tuesday it will handle waterside design, permitting and construction-phase services for the Port of Philadelphia's planned cruise terminal project on Hog Island.

The company said the project is part of a $50 million plan to convert an existing wharf into a temporary cruise terminal for Norwegian Cruise Line ships.

Bowman will manage about $22 million in waterside upgrades, including wharf reinforcement, dredging studies, mooring and berthing analysis, hydrographic surveying, and permitting, the company said, adding that the project is on an accelerated timeline to support cruise operations.
