0842 GMT - Publicis Groupe is bolstering its data-and-identity expertise with the acquisition of U.S. data specialist LiveRamp for a manageable cost, Bernstein analysts say in a research note. The French advertising group said it agreed to buy LiveRamp for $2.55 billion, including $379 million in cash, that leaves the target's enterprise value at $2.17 billion. The deal will be easily digested from a financial standpoint, with Publicis' net debt remaining under control, Bernstein says. LiveRamp is consistent with the acquisition priorities previously flagged by Publicis, and an increase to its targets for 2027 and 2028 underlines its confidence in the deal's benefits, the analysts say.
