On Saturday, May 16, 2026 at 23:18 Malaysian time, officers evacuated Doris using a multi-purpose vehicle (MPV) from a location suspected to be a homestay occupied by several individuals.Based on initial information, Doris admitted that the perpetrators forced her to bring tin from Indonesia to Malaysia. The victim also claimed to have been persuaded to come to Malaysia before experiencing the assault.Irhamni mentioned that Doris first met a Bugis man known as the right-hand man of the \"big boss\" on March 15, 2026 in Batam, Riau Islands. During the meeting, the man offered her a job related to the shipment of tin from Bangka. \"The victim was offered a job to find tin in Bangka and was told that the transportation would be using the boss's ship from Malaysia,\" said Irhamni.Two days after the meeting, Doris returned to Bangka. A week later, the Bugis man came with a man of Chinese descent to directly observe the tin mining activities in Bangka.According to Irhamni, the network then entrusted Rp650 million to Doris. The money was allegedly meant to pay for the tin purchase and to buy fish before being transported using a ship from Malaysia. However, the tin delivery plan was canceled because the police were intensively conducting raids in Bangka. \"The boss did not proceed with bringing the tin to Malaysia,\" said Irhamni.After that, Doris was asked to obtain a passport to fly to Kuala Lumpur.
