Vertical Aerospace (EVTL) has started integration testing of its hybrid-electric propulsion system at its Flight Test Centre in Cotswold Airport in the UK, the company said Tuesday.
The company also produced the first battery on its upgraded production line at the Vertical Energy Centre.
Battery packs from the facility will support certification aircraft and initial production capacity ahead of commercial service, Vertical Aerospace said.
The company's shares were up 2.5% in premarket activity.
