Equinor has signed a five-year agreement with Dutch energy company Eneco for supplies of natural gas from the Norwegian continental shelf, with the gas to be delivered to Eneco's German subsidiary LichtBlick.

The agreement runs until the end of 2030 and covers volumes of around 200 million cubic meters a year.

Deliveries to Germany started last month.

"The contract strengthens our security of supply in geopolitically uncertain times," said Jonas Beck, director of Green Energy Markets at LichtBlick.

Financial terms weren't disclosed.
