Amprius Technologies (AMPX) has signed a strategic collaboration deal with drone maker Matternet to use high-energy density silicon anode cells to improve the performance of autonomous aerial delivery vehicles, the companies said Tuesday.
Amprius said its cells are already included in Matternet's M2 aircraft, and that the companies are expanding their work to battery optimization for Matternet's next-generation platform.
Financial terms were not disclosed.
