Boeing (BA) will offer line-fit installation of Gilat Satellite Networks' (GILT) Sidewinder electronically steered antenna system for in-flight connectivity service providers, enabling airlines to deploy broadband connectivity systems during aircraft production, Gilat said Tuesday.
Gilat said the Sidewinder's compact antenna architecture is designed to simplify installation, reduce maintenance and avoid retrofit-related downtime while supporting growing connectivity demand for airlines.
Shares of Gilat Satellite Networks were up more than 4% in premarket activity Tuesday, while Boeing shares were marginally down.
