Japan's industrial production index (IPI) slipped on a seasonally adjusted 0.4% month on month in March, revised data from the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry on Friday showed.
On a year-on-year basis, the index gained 2.4%, better than the preliminary reading of 2.3% year-over-year increase.
Shipments slid on a seasonally adjusted 0.9% month-on-month, while inventories fell 1.8%.
On a year-on-year basis, shipments rose 2.2% whille inventories dropped 5.3%.
