Sugar Foods LLC recalled certain lots of Kroger Homestyle Cheese Garlic Croutons due to the risk of salmonella, in connection with a California Dairies milk-powder recall.
Sugar Foods said California Dairies supplied milk powder to its seasoning supplier Solina USA.
No illnesses have been reported to date, Sugar Foods said.
Solina USA, which had more than 1,000 employees as of November, is part of France-based Solina, which is backed by private-equity firm Astorg and provides food ingredients including seasonings, sauces and plant protein.
Visalia, Calif.-based California Dairies has $4 billion in annual product sales. Products including some John B. Sanfilippo & Son snack mixes, Ghirardelli Chocolate drink mixes and Zapp's potato chips were recalled after the dairy cooperative's recall.
In a May 15 update of a health alert related to the milk-powder recall, the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Food Safety and Inspection Service mentioned certain Randy's Foods products including taco pizza sold under brands such as Ole & Lena's Pizzeria and Roberto's Pizza.
