China Railway Construction Unit Wins AED 17.5 Billion Dubai Airport Engineering Project

China Railway Construction's (HKG:1186, SHA:601186) subsidiary China Railway 18th Bureau Group won a contract for the Emirates New Engineering Facility at Dubai World Central Airport worth about 17.5 billion United Arab Emirates dirhams, according to a Tuesday Hong Kong bourse filing.

The railway infrastructure developer's Hong Kong shares fell nearly 1%, while its Shanghai shares rose marginally in Tuesday morning trade.

The project, funded and developed by Emirates, will cover a gross floor area of about 1.21 million square meters.

The scope of works includes construction of maintenance hangars, paint hangars and related ancillary facilities, with a construction period of 50 months.
