SpaceX plans to proceed with its acquisition of AI coding startup Cursor about 30 days after the company goes public, Bloomberg reported on Tuesday, citing people familiar with the matter.
Bloomberg previously reported SpaceX could file for an IPO as early as Wednesday and begin trading June 12. That timeline would put a potential Cursor acquisition in July.
The acquisition would strengthen AI coding capabilities at SpaceX, which recently merged with xAI.
Cursor on Monday released its latest AI coding model, Composer 2.5, trained using xAI's Colossus 2 data center, according to Bloomberg.
