Yunnan Copper Subsidiary Pays 512 Million Yuan in Back Taxes; Shares Fall 4%

Yunnan Copper (SHE:000878) subsidiary Chifeng Yunnan Copper paid 512.3 million yuan in back taxes and late fees after its high-tech enterprise qualification was revoked retroactively to 2022.

The payment includes 357.0 million yuan in value-added tax benefits, 44.6 million yuan in surcharges and 110.7 million yuan in penalties. No administrative fines were imposed.

The payment will reduce Yunnan Copper's 2026 attributable net profit by about 203.4 million yuan.

Shares of the copper producer fell 4% in recent trade.
