Major digital assets rose Wednesday with Bitcoin (BTC-USD) topping $77,000.
The CoinDesk Market Index, which tracks dozens of digital assets including Bitcoin, rose 0.9% in the past 24 hours. The Nasdaq 100 advanced 1.6%, the S&P 500 gained 1%, and the Dow Jones Industrial Average increased 1.3%.
Bitcoin rose 1% to $77,562, according to CoinMarketCap data. The most popular cryptocurrency's 24-hour trading volume fell 7.4% to $25.9 billion.
Ethereum (ETH-USD), the second-largest digital asset by market value, added 1.2% to $2,136.
XRP (XRP-USD) gained 1%, BNB (BNB-USD) rose 1.6%, and Solana (SOL-USD) added 2%. Dogecoin (DOGE-USD) climbed 0.9%, while Cardano (ADA-USD) advanced 0.6%.
The US 10-year Treasury yield stood at 4.568% at 3 p.m. ET Wednesday, down from 4.664% Tuesday, while the five-year yield fell to 4.221% from 4.325%.
The total market value of the cryptocurrency industry rose 1.1% in the past 24 hours to $2.58 trillion, with trading volume gaining 1.2% to $156.8 billion.
