Meta Platforms released a new standalone Facebook app called Forum.
The app, which is free and designed to be a space for users' Facebook Groups, is "built for deeper discussions, real answers and the communities you care about," according to the description on the Apple iPhone application store. The app is ranked #40 on the store's list of most-downloaded social networking apps.
Meta posted the app on the store without making a public announcement about it.
