Align Technology plans to open a new $200 million manufacturing facility in India.
The maker of Invisalign teeth aligners said Friday it will build the site in Hyderabad, India, in 2027, creating more than 300 jobs. The $200 million investment will go toward capital and operational expenses over the next several years.
The facility is expected to become operational in 2027 and be margin accretive in the first year.
The planned site is part of Align's strategy to get closer to customers and scale its operations in high-growth markets, such as India.
"India represents an important growth market for Align," said Jitse Marrée, Align's head of global operations.
Align already has a global capability center and an innovation center in Hyderabad. This would be the company's first manufacturing site in India, and its fourth globally.
