Critical Resources (ASX:CRR) struck an exclusive worldwide commercial license deal for NTUitive's thermal management portfolio, covering two-phase cooling of lithium-ion batteries as well as processing units used in electronics and data centers, according to a Thursday filing with the Australian bourse.
The consideration over the 10-year license period is SG$220,000, exclusive of patent cost recovery obligations, per the filing.
The deal includes a performance milestone requiring the first commercial sale of a licensed product within three years of the completion of planned research collaborations with NTUitive, the tech innovation arm of Singapore's Nanyang Technological University. NTUitive may convert the license to non-exclusive if the milestone is not met.
The thermal management portfolio includes a Model Predictive Control tool that adjusts energy use in real time to optimize the performance of central processing units and graphics processing units, the company said.
