Dell Technologies' (DELL) shares soared 16.6% after Wells Fargo raised its price target to $270 from $180.

More than 10.6 million shares of the company traded intraday compared with a daily average of about 8 million.

CIBC Capital Markets raised its price target on BlackBerry (BB) to $8.50 from $6, with Analyst Todd Coupland maintaining an outperformer rating on the shares.

"...Management signalled better operating visibility and a clearer path to profitable growth across both QNX and Secure Communications," Coupland said in a note to clients.

Shares of BlackBerry jumped 18% amid a surge in intraday trading volume to over 34.6 million from a daily average of roughly 15.9 million.

Akari Therapeutics (AKTX) reported positive preclinical data highlighting synergistic cytotoxic activity of AKTX-101 in combination with KRAS inhibition in KRAS-mutated pancreatic cancer models.

Shares more than doubled as intraday trading volume catapulted to over 17.2 million from a daily average of about 68,000.
