Speculation over a potential merger between SpaceX and Tesla (TSLA) is resurfacing as Elon Musk prepares to take SpaceX public on Nasdaq, CNBC reported on Tuesday.
The report said Musk has discussed with colleagues the possibility of combining the companies, which already share resources and collaborate on challenges tied to power and computing constraints, citing people familiar with the matter.
SpaceX is expected to begin trading in coming weeks after reaching a $1.25 trillion private valuation earlier this year following its merger with xAI, CNBC reported. Tesla's market capitalization stands at about $1.6 trillion.
